India Arie - Testimony Vol. 2 Love & Politics

Man its been a while since I've posted anything....blame the music business.  Ha just kiddin.  I actually wanted to talk about India Arie's new album.   She really has put out another nice one.  I think I like it the least out of all of her albums....but I do like it.  She really knows and makes good music.  And her lyrics are actually talking about something.  So many artist today just put anything in there lyrics.  You could actually read India's lyrics and they would make sense.  The album starts off with an interlude that repeats with different verses throughout the album.  I really wish this interlude was one nice long song.  Then she moves into the upbeat guitar laden Therapy.  Its actually the best song to start the album off with.  It grabs your attention no matter whether you are a production person or a lyric person. The guitar strums over a bass heavy beat covered by her smooth voice.  From here you get the feeling that ahh yes Ms. Arie has done it again.  Your feelings don't change as you get into the next song Ghetto.  Then it s on to the smooth, silky  song with Musiq Soulchild.  And yall know that boy can bring it.  They prove to be a good combination...good chemistry and vibe.  The album just keeps on going like that.  I won't go through each song.  I'll just say that its a complete album.  You won't be disappointed...if you appreciate good real music.
